The best way to determine if your pre-workout has expired is by looking at the expiration date printed on the package, says Paul Falcone, MS, principal scientist at BODi. “These dates are established after testing to ensure the quality, potency and effectiveness of the product within that time frame,” says Falcone.

Never use a wet spoon to measure your pre-workout and be careful with humidity. Some rooms, such as the bathroom, tend to have more humidity in the air. Find the driest space in your house to store the pre-workout.
